A wine with hues of yellow melon, whose refined noble rot, or Botrytis cinerea (gray mold), intensifies its fullness and character in both bouquet and flavor. This highly extractive wine is ideal for both immediate enjoyment or for archiving. In addition to the refined noble rot, the flavor is a marriage of the Rhine grapevine family, the southward orientation of the Sonberk vineyard and the quality of the deep, mineral-rich loess soil.
„This is a wine from one of Popice’s oldest vineyards. The quality of the soil here has served local wines for centuries. Historical sources even tell of Popice wines reaching the table of the royal Jagiellonian dynasty. Even today, our Riesling – Noble rot harvest – is well worthy of attention. The 2014 vintage represents a very promising wine for further bottle archiving.“
