A word from the Cellar master

Though 2013 was not a great friend to this variety, and the October frost left its impression on our Rieslings in the ripeness of the grapes, it was still possible to produce a wine I can be satisfied with. Maturing on fine yeast lees for six months was also beneficial. Gotberg’s 2013 Rhine Riesling is built on primary aromatics, a high mineral content and crystalline purity. This is not a wine destined for archiving, but I think that its lightness and freshness are the very attributes that  will be appreciated most.
