A word from the Cellar master

The 2014 vintage was quite problematic due to rainy weather, especially at the end of the harvest. We had to harvest the grapes earlier than they deserved. Pálava is an exceptionally appropriate variety for producing wines with higher residual sugar, but last year Mother Nature had other ideas.

The Gotberg Pálava of2014 Late Harvest is known for its unmistakable fragrance typical for the Pálava variety produced by this winery. It bears traces of mango, lychee, pineapple, tangerine compote and other tropical fruits. In taste, I particularly sense its spiciness. I believe that it will resonate once again with our patrons and lovers of good wine despite a lower sugar content than in previous years. It is a great wine to enjoy over a long evening.“
