This traditional Moravian variety is characterized as a refreshing wine with a greenish yellow hue, a pleasing flowery Muscat fragrance and gentle tones of licorice. Its juicy flavor is so typical for young Muscats from Popice.
After good experiences in previous years with “juicy, light and flowery – fruity Muscats“, I have managed to produce yet another descendant to this new tradition.
The new Moravian Muscat 2014 is known for this attractive flowery and fruity fragrance, which is bound to intensify with further bottle aging. In taste, this Muscat renders a pleasing, fruity impression, and it impresses with its purity and taste specificity, consistent with my notion of what such a sought-after variety should be.
The 2014 vintage was very complicated for winegrowers in many aspects, especially in maintaining the grapes in excellent health and in timing the harvest just right. Judge for yourselves whether we have succeeded in this Moravian Muscat.
