A full-bodied, refreshing rosé wine with a distinct bouquet of black currant blends with a gentle, yogurt-like aroma. This wine’s flavor is in harmony with its dominant fruity aroma, making it the ideal companion for a relaxing summer gathering with friends.
This year, we have crafted a rosé of the Merlot variety, which I find exceptionally conducive to producing such wine. A typical feature of this year’s rosé is its lighter hue, reminiscent of the color of a „partridge eye“, despite four hours of maceration between the skins. In its bouquet, we can find Merlot’s typical hints of red currant or ripe strawberries. Regarding flavor, our 2013 Merlot rosé is rather full-bodied for a rosé; despite this, it is very juicy and refreshing with a splendidly harmonic finish. I am sure this wine will make a fine companion on hot summer nights.
