The Gotberg Merlot is characterized by its dark, ruby red hue and pleasant bouquet of black cherry jam, with a noticeable light smokiness and tones of hot chocolate. A robust red wine with lingering aftertaste and cultivated tannins, produced naturally.

A word from the Cellar master

This wine is produced by coupage, whereby most of the wine is matured in a classic wooden barrel, and the other part is matured in barrique barrels. Our Merlot was produced naturally, it is unfiltered and sulfites were used in a very small measure. The warm impression it renders reflects its nature as a full-bodied, extractive wine, whose impressive taste lingers long on the pallet. Though this wine already comes off as well-ripened, bottle aging will only enhance its qualities.
